How to use a straightener?

Which straightener is the best?

The straightener you choose also depends on your hair type. The required temperature to make your hair straight depends on your hair type. The temperatures of most straighteners range from 60°C to 230°C. Your hair type also influences the type of plates of the straightener.

If you have fine, thin hair, it's best to choose a straightener with smaller plates and an adjustable temperature. Thin hair absorbs heat faster, so in most cases, a straightener that can be set at 170°C is sufficient.

If you have thick hair, a straightener with wider plates that can handle a higher temperature is the best choice. The larger plates make straightening faster. Usually, 210°C is enough to make thick hair nicely straight.

If you have coily hair, choose a straightener with an adjustable temperature. Straightening coily hair is easier at higher temperatures.

For all hair types, make sure the hair is dry before straightening. If the hair is damp, it can cause significant damage. Additionally, it is recommended to always use a heat protection spray to protect the hair from the heat of the straightener.
