Foundation
Foundation
Get your skin looking perfect with foundation. It helps even out your skin tone, not to make your skin darker! Choose the right shade to ensure you don't walk around with an orange glow on your face. Foundation comes in both compact and liquid forms. Compact foundation is easy to carry in your handbag for touch-ups. Liquid foundation can be applied just like you would apply a moisturizer. Additionally, there are foundation sticks available in the range.
Applying Foundation
When applying foundation, always follow the same order. Follow your usual skincare routine. First, it's essential to clean your skin thoroughly. Then, apply a hydrating day cream, preferably one with SPF. Once the day cream is fully absorbed into the skin, apply a makeup base. This is also known as a primer. A primer helps your foundation stay put better. It smooths the skin, making it easier to apply your foundation.
Now it's time to apply the foundation. You can do this with a makeup sponge or a makeup brush. Applying with your fingers is also possible, but it's not the preferred method. If you choose to use your fingers, make sure to wash your hands thoroughly first. Always apply foundation by patting it on.
Make sure to use an egg-shaped sponge for applying foundation. Wet the makeup sponge and squeeze it out. Now you can use the makeup sponge to pat on your foundation.
You can also use a stippling brush for applying foundation. This is a makeup brush with bristles spaced far apart. This makes the foundation look natural on the skin.
After applying foundation, use powder and/or setting spray to make it stay in place all day. It also reduces shine on your skin.
Choosing Foundation Shade
When choosing a foundation shade, you'll often come across the letters C (cool), N (neutral), and W (warm). This represents your skin's undertone. Determine your skin's undertone by looking at your veins. With a warm undertone, you often have greenish veins. Are the veins blue or purple? Then you have a cool undertone. If you don't see a clear difference, you have a neutral undertone.
