The family Frapin already strives for years to perfection on Château de Fontpinot in the heart of the Grande Champagne. There they make famous champaign and cognac. This didn’t have anything to do with a perfume until the great granddaughter Beatrice Cointreau was about to create a refined perfume to honour cognac. The inspiration of the unisex perfumes have to do with the colours, scents and the taste of cognacs and have a luxurious appearance. The fragrances take you into the feeling of temptation, party and beauty.
Because of the great success of the Frapin fragrances, a choice had to be made between producing cognac or making perfumes. There is chosen for the old family tradition of cognac and the fragrance series is handed over to specialists. Nowadays, the fragrances are developed together with different famous star perfumers such as Anne Sophie Behaghel, Marc-Antoine Corticchiate, Bertrand Duchaufour and Jeanne-Marie Faugier.
Just as with developing cognacs it also is about giving time when developing perfumes. In this way, the most beautiful ingredients are used, the refined skills are developed and the quality of the perfumes is guaranteed.
The fragrances are produced on a small scale with which they keep their qualities. The packaging is streamlined with the cognac bottles. The caps are made of beech wood and refer to the wood of the barrels just as for example the grape which gives the taste to the cognac.
