The scent notes of perfume

Scent notes consist of multiple layers which ensure a lovely fragrance. These layers are divided over three scent notes. When you wear your perfume, you often sense that the perfume smells different at the end of the day than during the start of the day. This is because the three scent notes in your perfume, continue developing the entire day.

• Top notes (the first impression): The perfume is opened with the top notes, this is the first scent which you will smell. This scent is often the most dominant and you could smell them up to an hour.
• Heart notes: After the top notes have disappeared, you smell the heart notes. These notes are the most important in the perfume, they ensure that the freshness of the top notes are extended. This scent could last up to 6 hours.
• Base notes: The base notes give the fragrance depth and warmth. Sometimes you could smell this scent for days after wearing and this ensures the durability of the fragrance.

Which fragrance suits me?

When you want to know which fragrance suits you, it is important to first decide which scent family you like. Scent families are for example: sweet, floral, fresh, woody, herbal or oriental. The scent family could be found in the product description of our perfumes.

Now you know which scent family you like, it is important to determine what you want to radiate. Your appearance is mainly important during the first impression. What is the difference between Eau de Parfum, Eau de Toilette and Eau de Cologne?

The difference between the three variants are in the intensity and the extent in which the fragrance essence is concentrated.

Eau de Parfum

Eau de Parfum is the highest fragrance concentration. This variant contains over around 20 to 40% fragrance components. That is why this is also the most expensive variant compared to the Eau de Toilette and Eau de Cologne. With an Eau de Parfum, you only need to apply a few drops and the perfume will smell good for the rest of the day.

Eau de Toilette

The Eau de Toilette is one of the most sold of the three variants. This variant contains just over half of the fragrance components compared to the Eau de Parfum. The fragrance smells less strong and you will not smell it the entire day. Apply this variant again at the middle of the day.

Eau de Cologne

Eau de Cologne is most common for men. This variant contains the lowest amount of fragrance particles and is known for its light and fresh scent.

Which variant you choose, is totally up to yourself. When you are searching for a powerful perfume which you smell well the entire day, choose the Eau de Parfum. Are you more searching for a less powerful fragrance, then Eau de Toilette is the perfect choice!

Where do you apply perfume?

You apply a perfume on the warm spots of the skin, where the veins are closest to the surface. A perfume needs warmth to be able to damp well. Spray the perfume in the neck, on the wrists, behind the ears and in your cleavage.

How do fragrance sticks work?

Fragrance sticks last about 3 to 6 months. Take some sticks out when the fragrance is too intense, for example in a small space such as the toilet. Once in a certain amount of time, you will have to turn the sticks around.

How to use fragrance oil

A fragrance oil could be used by putting it in a scent burner. In this way you spread the fragrance in the space. Under the bowl of the scent burner, there is a tea light, with which the oil will evaporate. Let the fragrance oil evaporate in combination with water. Fill the bowl of the scent burner with water and add around 3 to 4 drops.

A fragrance could also be put in a bottle with rattan stick, with which you have the same effect as ‘real’ fragrance sticks.

How do you use room spray?

Using a room spray is very simple. You spray a few times in the room. You could use it in every space that you want, such as in your living room, toilet, bedroom, hotel room, infrared sauna or massage salon.
